Ashley Itorralba (12-Logica) of MSU-CETD Senior High School successfully defended Siklab’s bronze finish in the General Santos City Senior High School Statistics Quiz, held on October 17 at Icon Venue and Suites as part of the 36th National Statistics Month celebration.

Out of 21 participants from various senior high schools across the city, Itorralba secured a 2nd runner-up finish, marking another podium achievement for MSU-CETD SHS. Guided by her coach, Ms. Juliemer Absalon, MS, she showcased exceptional mastery of statistics and analytical reasoning.

“More than just the award, I’m truly honored to have represented our school,” Itorralba shared. “I hope there will be more chances for us to be on the podium again — but honestly, just being given the opportunity to represent the school was already a big honor for me.”

Despite her busy schedule as a student leader during the Intramurals 2025, Itorralba reviewed materials from past quiz bees to prepare for the competition, balancing her academic and leadership responsibilities with dedication and discipline.

She dedicated her achievement to her coach, family, friends, and the supportive Siklab Senior High community. “This small victory is for my family, my friends, and everyone who supported me throughout this journey. Legends Padayon, Padayon Senior High,” she said.

The quiz formed part of the 2025 National Statistics Month celebration themed “Accelerating the SDG Pace of Progress: Mobilizing Data for All,” which aims to promote statistical literacy and awareness among learners in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
